Acorn Print Studio is a small independent Edinburgh based business run by Lorna Johnson. Who specialises in various forms of printmaking, illustration and textile printing.

A unique position is available to work on my stall at the Tron Art Market on the Royal Mile 2 days a week, Sundays and Mondays 10am-6pm, £13 per hour. Start date mid January, training will be included. This is a permanent position, with a 3 month trial period.

Responsibilities include:
- selling and promoting the art work
- cashing up start/end of day
- customer engagement
- restocking the stall/ stock checks
- handling sales on Zettle and cash sales
- keeping the stall tidy and professionally presented

Necessary skills:
- being confident with customer engagement
- excellent communication skills
- having an interest and understanding of Printmaking especially lino cutting (training will be provided)
- a healthy work environment and attitude, with the ability to work alongside other staff and interacting with me and other stall holders
- experience working within markets and creative events or arts (desired not necessary)
- Retail or customer service experience desired
- being conscientious and thorough with tasks and with customer engagement

I'm looking for someone who is mature and responsible and who understands the nature of selling for a small business with a keen interest in the arts and creative events.

This role would suit someone looking for part time hours and enjoys working in a creative environment, it’s a sociable role and customer facing and a great opportunity for anyone wishing to gain experience working within markets and the arts.
